EKAN- The Wills Family Scholarship

Founded by Lloyd Wills, an Edna Karr alum, this scholarship is established to empower graduating Edna Karr seniors as they transition to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The Wills Family Scholarship recognizes students who have balanced academic discipline with active leadership and community service. We are seeking candidates who have demonstrated a heart for service within the Karr halls and the greater New Orleans area.
Academic Eligibility:
This award is specifically reserved for students pursuing a degree at an HBCU with a major in one of the following high-impact fields:
Healthcare: Nursing, medicine, public health, or allied health.
Social Sciences: Psychology, sociology, social work, or political science.
Education: Teaching, administration, or educational advocacy.
Insurance & Risk Management: Protecting community assets and building financial legacy.

By supporting these specific fields of study, the Lloyd Wills Family Scholarship aims to foster a new generation of professionals dedicated to healing, educating, protecting, and advocating for our communities.
Award: $1000, $500
Minimum GPA: 3.00
